Public Works HistoryIn 1964, a local engineer by the name of O. Neil Smith was appointed to serve as the community's first full time Public Works Director. As such, he oversaw a multitude of activities including those of the streets, electrical, water, inspection, waste disposal and collection. and engineering divisions.
