Public Right of Way


Types of inspection required within the PROW include but are not limited to:

  • Water Utilities
  • Sewer Utilities
  • Storm Drain Utilities
  • Land Drain Utilities
  • Sidewalks
  • Curb & Gutter
  • Approaches

Permit to Work in the Public Right of Way

  • Proper licensing in the State of Utah to perform the requested work
  • Certificate of Liability naming Brigham City Corporation as additionally insured
  • Bond in the amount of $10,000

Notification of Inspections

It shall be the responsibility of the person responsible for construction to insure that inspections take place where and when required.

Continuous inspections require 3-day notification prior to the commencing of the work, i.e. water and sewer mains, asphalt and concrete work.

Periodic inspections require 24-hour notice prior to the commencing of the work, i.e. service lateral replacements, excavations, concrete forms.

Job Site Requirements:

  • Approved set of plans
  • Proper permits (State, Local, Federal)
  • Blue Stakes
  • Notification of Road Closure to Brigham City Public Works
  • Traffic and pedestrian control to MUTCD Standards
  • OSHA Requirements
