HISTORY OF THE BEAR RIVER MIGRATORY BIRD REFUGE


The Brigham City Heritage Arts Festival's mission is to annually provide a venue for displaying, marketing, understanding, and recognizing the finest expression of authentic heritage arts. The festival offers displays, performances, lectures, and artists, all related to the festival theme. The theme for 2006 is “‘…the World’s Greatest Game Bird Sanctuary…’ History of the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.” Performances will include the Lincoln Youth Symphony, Ridin’ the Fault Line, John McEuen, a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and many more. Tracy Aviary will present three shows, including a “Harry Potter” themed owl show. Lectures will include the history of the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, the importance of the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and Great Salt Lake to western bird populations, and landscaping your yard for wildlife.
Judy Niemeyer Quilting will present a quilt trunk show.
