The role of the Community Development Division of Public Works is to make life better for the residents of Brigham City by working with citizens, property owners, businesses and others to create a desirable place to live, work, play, and do business by providing timely, fair, and professional services.  Some ot the services provided include: Current and Future Planning (zoning), Code Enforcement, Building Inspection, Business Licensing, Public Works Inspection, and Building Maintenance.  Through hard work in each of these areas, we hope to create a safer and more pleasing environment for the citizens of Brigham City.  

Primarily, it is the duty of the Community Development Division to oversee and manage the planning, development, building, and growth of Brigham City.  Specifically the division duties are: issuing building permits and ensure code compliance through building inspections; license businesses; comprehensive planning (land use master plan); zoning; zoning enforcement; site plan review.  We also serve as advisors to the City Council, Planning Commission, and Appeal Authority.
